How To Maximize Your Profit Promoting Affiliate Programs
by: Ken Hill
Promoting affiliate programs can provide you with a good extra income or even a full time income online.

To help you maximize your profit promoting affiliate programs, I've provided the following tips to help you successfully market your affiliate programs more effectively to your site's visitors.

1. Publish an e-zine.

Running an e-zine will allow you to run prime position ads for your affiliate programs in every issue you publish, and is the #1 way for you to follow up with your site's visitors.

You can also easily increase your commissions by sending out special announcements to your subscriber base whenever one of the affiliate programs you promote is offering a special bonus or a special limited time offer.

Once you build up your circulation you can further increase your profits by charging for ad space in your publication.

2. Use a pop up on your site that promotes your e-zine.

Using a pop up as a well as a subscription e-mail or form on your site can substantially increase the number of your visitors that subscribe to your publication.

Your pop up will draw your visitors' attention right to your e-zine, and if you offer your visitors free bonuses for subscribing to your e-zine such as free ebooks or free ads you can further increase the number of visitors who subscribe to your publication.

3. Offer free e-mail workshops (e-mail courses) to your visitors.

Making e-mail workshops will enable you to effectively promote one or several affiliate programs that offer products that relate to the subject of your workshop.

Many affiliate programs provide their affiliates with articles to post on their sites or run in their e-zines which you can use to successfully form the different parts of your workshop.

If you already write articles, you can easily use your own articles to form the different parts of your workshop and transform your articles into yet another powerful marketing tool.

To get the most out of your e-mail workshops, offer your workshops both on your site and by using a pop up, and use your workshops to increase subscriptions to your e-zine as well as repeat visitors your website.

4. Publish your articles on your site.

Posting your articles on your site is a great way to continually add content to your site and draw more repeat visitors.

To successfully use your articles to promote affiliate programs offer a free e-mail workshop in your resource box or use your resource box to promote your e-zine.

This will provide you with an effective way to successfully follow up with your prospects when your articles get published as well as when your visitors read your articles.

5. Offer free ebooks on your site.

Many affiliate programs provide their affiliates with ebooks they can rebrand with their unique affiliate URL and these can be used as an effective marketing tool.

The best way to promote your affiliate programs with ebooks, however, is to make your own ebooks.

If you write your own articles, you can create a unique promotional item by making an ebook compilation of your articles with links to affiliate programs you promote.

You can also create a best of compilation of your e-zine's top issues to drive more subscriptions to your publication or if you make e-mail workshops you can transform these into your ebooks content.

To further increase your profits, offer your ebooks as a free bonus or part of a free bonus for subscribing to your e-zine, and/or allow your visitors to rebrand your ebook with a link to their own business, affiliate program or opportunity.

Affiliate programs can be categorized into two types, which are pay per click (PPC) and pay performance (PPP). Basically they both bring satisfactory results, depending on how you evaluate them.
Pay per click (PPC)
Pay per click affiliate programs have gained popularity amongst affiliate marketers. It maybe because it's quite easy to make money with pay per click. Pay per click affiliate programs pay affiliates every time they refer a visitor to their website, regardless if the visitor buys or not. The merchants can either offer text or banner ads for the affiliate to choose and paste on his website. So when a visitor clicks on the text or banner ads, the affiliate gets paid a certain amount or percentage agreed with the merchant. You would not expect to get big bucks from a single click because most single clicks can be as low as $0.05. But if you can drive lots of traffic and generate lots of clicks, then you can make quite a lot.
Pay per performance (PPP)
Pay per performance is the most lucrative type of affiliate program for affiliates, because with pay per performance the merchant pays the affiliate when the visitor buys the product (Pay per sale) or signs up for anything the merchant is offering (Pay per Lead).
This type of affiliate programs are popular amongst merchants and are often used by finance and insurance companies who need sign-ups for their business to grow. And most of, if not all info products also fall in this category. The commission pay out is quite considerate ranging around 15% to 50%. So if the product is selling for $150 and you get 50% a sell, your commissions will be $75.

Tier affiliate marketing or different level affiliate marketing are affiliate programs that can benefit affiliates from referring others to the affiliate program.
Tier affiliate marketing can be categorized into different groups named single-tier, two-tier, and multi tier. And are all based on the different levels in the affiliate network by which payments are made.
In single-tier affiliate marketing, affiliate commissions are only paid on traffic or direct sales he/she refers to the merchant. Then in two-tier affiliate marketing, the affiliate is not only paid for direct sales that he refers to the merchant, but you are given the opportunity of referring other people to the affiliate program and once they sign up and become affiliates, you get a certain percentage of all sells they make. Multi-tier affiliate marketing is similar to two-tier affiliate marketing, but you the affiliate get additional commissions for a wider number of affiliates in different tiers. You get a percentage of your referrals referrals.
Residual income affiliate marketing
Some affiliates take residual income affiliate programs the "to go" affiliate program. Because with residual income you are given the opportunity as well to refer other people to the affiliate program, but get paid every month as long as the referral stays a member of the affiliate program. So it's like continuous checks month after month.

You can now be able to evaluate which type of affiliate program you will be excited about marketing, and start your marketing campaign. Advertising Is Key To Home Business Success

Advertising Is Key To Home Business Success
by Earl Williams

There is no question that advertising is key to the success of any business - large or small, new or old. Without advertising and marketing practices a business simply cannot succeed or last long. To ensure long and lasting success, a business must engage in marketing and advertising in some way. If you have heard the old adage that "it takes money to make money" then you know that advertising does not come for free. A business must consider an advertising campaign budget to keep their numbers up.
It has been said that the best form of advertising is word of mouth advertising. Word of mouth advertising is free and lends an air of credibility to the business. Usually, word of mouth advertising comes from happy and satisfied customers and clients that wish to share their positive experience. Most of the time, they tell their friends, family, and coworkers about a particular product or service and in turn new customers come to the business.
While word of mouth is a wonderful and free way to get the word out about a business, it is not the "be all end all" of advertising. Advertising with television spots, radio spots, on billboards, and in print are all still very effective ways to get the word out. These methods of advertising are quite expensive and not as realistic for many small businesses.
A more economical yet effective way for a business to advertise is online. The Internet is such an integral part of daily life now that it is hard not to advertise on the World Wide Web. The ways in which a business can advertise online are seemingly endless. There are several types of email marketing campaigns, banner advertising, link advertising, websites, and viral marketing. Usually, to engage in a successful email marketing campaign, a business will send past customers an email to announce new products or specials on their website or in their store.
By large, advertising online is usually very cheap. The key is to find a place online where lots of your customers are going to go. In order to do this, you have to be sure that you know who your demographic is and who is using your business. This might require some work on your part. Once you have identified who the people are that are using your business, you can go to other sites that these people are also going to be using, and you can advertise on these sites, quite easily.
Many business owners engage in strategic networking with other business owners in an effort to advertise their businesses. Strategic networking is a way for business owners to meet each other, get the word out about their company, and even to expand their resources and business prospects.
One of the newest ways to get the word out about your business and successfully advertise is that through social networking. Social networking is much like strategic networking in that it is usually free and occurs through meeting and discussing issues and products. However, social networking is done through modern media such as websites, blogs, and the Internet community. It is highly effective and inexpensive.
Regardless of the method of advertising used, a business must use constant advertising campaigns to keep success on the horizon.
